01About your portrait

Can you illustrate any animal?
Absolutely! From dogs and cats to rabbits, birds, horses, reptiles, and beyond, all animals are welcome. Whatever companion holds a special place in your heart, we’d love to turn their photo into a portrait.
Can I include more than one pet in my portrait?
Absolutely! The 12 × 16 and 18 × 24 inch sizes support up to four pets together in one portrait. The 8 × 10 inch size supports one pet only. Your pets don’t need to be in the same photo. Simply upload a photo of each pet, and we’ll bring them together in one beautiful artwork.
Do my pets need to be in the same photo?
Not at all! You can upload separate photos of each pet, and we’ll illustrate them together in one portrait. Please make it clear which photos belong to each pet, especially if you’d like their names included.
Can I order a memorial portrait?
Yes. We’d be honored to create a portrait celebrating the life of your beloved companion. Choose your clearest favorite photo for each pet. We’ll create a meaningful keepsake to honor their memory.
Can I send it as a gift?
Absolutely! A custom portrait makes a thoughtful gift for an animal lover. Upload photos of their pet when ordering, and enter the recipient’s address at checkout if you’d like it delivered directly to them. We’ll send the digital preview to your email for approval.
What sizes and materials are available?

Choose unframed matte poster paper or stretched canvas, 1.25 inches deep with no decorative outer frame. Every listed portrait price includes an artwork preview and one round of revisions.

  • 8 × 10 inches: one pet only
  • 12 × 16 inches: one to four pets
  • 18 × 24 inches: one to four pets

02Photos & personalization

How do I take a good photo of my pet?

Choose a clear photo taken in natural light, with your pet’s face, eyes, and distinctive markings easy to see. Photos taken at your pet’s eye level work best. Try to avoid blurry images, heavy filters, or photos that crop out their ears.

Choose one JPEG or PNG per pet, up to 10MB each.

Can I order a portrait without my pet’s name?
Of course! Names are optional. Tick Include name on artwork for each pet whose name you’d like shown, and enter that name. Leave the checkbox unticked for artwork without that pet’s name.
Can I request a custom background or accessories?
Yes! Select Custom Background or Accessories for US$20 per portrait, choose background, accessories only, or both, and describe your ideas. A custom background replaces the US$10 standard color fee. Accessories only can be combined with a standard color for an additional US$10. Your requested details will appear in your artwork preview.

03Previews & revisions

Will I see a preview of my portrait?
After you order, you’ll receive an artwork preview and one included revision. Your order is fulfilled after you approve your artwork.
What if I don't love my portrait?
Tell us what feels off when you see your preview—an expression, a marking, a color—and we’ll adjust it in your included revision before anything is made. Extra rounds are US$15 each. Because every portrait is custom, we can’t offer refunds for change of mind.
How many revisions are included with my portrait?

Every portrait includes an artwork preview and one complimentary round of revisions. Please send all your requested adjustments together so we can address them in that round.

Further rounds cost US$15 each, requested during artwork approval rather than prepaid in the form. We’ll ask for final approval before fulfillment. Artwork approval and additional revision payments are not connected yet.

04Optional add-ons

What is a Digital Download?
A digital download is a high-resolution digital copy of your finished portrait. Add it to your order for US$22 to save, share with friends and family, or print extra copies for personal use.
What is Priority Illustration?
For US$29, we prepare your artwork and fulfill your order within 7 business days of receiving your complete order details and suitable photos. Artwork approval is required before printing, and delivery time is additional. Delays in approval or extra revision requests may extend this timeframe. It is not express shipping.

05Orders, shipping & delivery

Can I change my order after it’s been placed?
Please email us at thetwinkleprojects@gmail.com as soon as possible if you need to make a change. We’ll do our best to help, depending on how far along your portrait is. Changes that require additional artwork may involve an extra fee, which we’ll confirm with you before proceeding.
Can I cancel my order after it’s been placed?
You may cancel your order within 24 hours of placing it by contacting us. After this window, your order will have been processed and work on your artwork started, so we can no longer accept cancellations or issue refunds for cancellation.
How long will my portrait take to arrive?
Your first artwork preview is ready in 3–5 business days. Once you’ve approved your artwork, we’ll prepare your canvas or poster for delivery. Shipping time varies by destination, and we’ll send tracking details when your order ships. Any requested revisions may extend the overall turnaround time.
How much does shipping cost?
Standard U.S. shipping is US$4.99 for eligible orders with a merchandise subtotal below US$100.00, and free at US$100.00 or more. This threshold includes eligible add-ons and is calculated after any discounts, before shipping and taxes. All our canvas variants qualify for free standard U.S. shipping. Taxes are separate. For other destinations, shipping depends on your delivery address and the items in your order. Charges will be shown at checkout once checkout is connected; this preview does not process orders.
Will all my items arrive in the same shipment?
If you order more than one item, they may arrive in separate shipments, especially if you choose both canvas and poster portraits. We’ll provide tracking information for each shipment so you can follow every part of your order.

06Returns & damage

Can I return my portrait if I’m unhappy with it?

Each portrait is custom made especially for you, so we don’t accept returns or offer refunds for change of mind. Your order includes a digital preview and one complimentary round of revisions. Additional revision rounds cost US$15 each.

We’ll ask for your approval before preparing your final portrait. If it arrives damaged or defective, please email us at thetwinkleprojects@gmail.com so we can make it right. This policy does not affect your statutory rights.

What if my portrait arrives damaged?

Please email us at thetwinkleprojects@gmail.com within 14 days of delivery with your order number and clear photos or videos showing the damage or defect. If the packaging is also damaged, please include photos or videos of it too. We’ll arrange a replacement at no extra cost, with no need to return the damaged portrait.

This coverage does not apply to incorrect sizes or colours selected when ordering, or change of mind.
